
Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has announced the approval of
10 Million Naira compensation to the family of the officer of the Lagos
State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), who was recently killed by
a FSARS Officer over a traffic dispute.
He made the revelation, on Sunday, while commiserating with LASTMA over the killing of
Mr Rotimi Adeyemo.
Governor Ambode said the incident was one too many, revealing that a
total of 18 officers were lost to such unfortunate situation, and 24
permanently incapacitated in various hospitals in the last one year.
While Lagosians have commended the gesture, they have also asked for
disciplinary measures to be taken against sars officials to prevent
future occurence.
