Fresh emerging report, indicates that the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is making a frantic efforts to frustrate the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship election, slated for November 18, by calling for a total boycott.
Post-Nigeria gathered that posters with the picture of IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, with inscriptions like: ‘No election in Biafran land and Anambra State’, and ‘Vote for referendum’, were pasted at strategic places in the State, calling on the Igbos to stay indoors during the November 18 election.
Recall, that the Nigeria Police in the State had last week, arrested two IPOB members with the posters in Onitsha, but despite that, the group went ahead to circulate more posters and handbills, insisting that Governorship election in Anambra State, should be boycotted.
The group said it would serve as civil disobedience, pending when a referendum will be conducted for the exit of Biafra people in Nigeria.
It was gathered that the posters were seen two days ago, with different messages and pictures, while some bore Kanu’s picture, others had the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s picture, telling residents to sit at home, or boycott the forthcoming election.

Reacting, a source said: “Those who collect bribe from FG on behalf of Igbo people and Biafra in general in order to suppress our struggle, should speak for himself or themselves. We are Biafrans, and only listen to Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB for now. NO ELECTION IN ANAMBRA STATE. We can see clearly now we are going nowhere but pit with the so called Igbo leaders, who have lost every form of dignity and principles for selfish interests.”

Another source added: “9 days remaining. We are not going to vote, period! We the Anambra people together, with our parents, said we are not voting on 18th of this month, and the Nigerian Government cannot force us. All we want is Referendum. We are Opara in Biafra Land, and we are not going to sell out our siblings or our Nation, because of money. Arresting and killing us will not stop our Nation Biafra. We the Opara in Biafra land and our brothers in all lands, are staying at home that day. We want to send this message to the world, so that everyone will see and know that we are no longer interested in Nigeria Government. All we want is Biafra our fathers land. The land of the RISING SUN. God Almighty helping us, we solicit for your help to stand with Biafra Nation. We want Biafra. Please, the United States of America should rise up and help us now. The American Government will never regret helping us. God bless Biafra, God bless the United State of America now. Help us, we are Biafrans.”
Meanwhile, the Board Chairman, International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law (Intersociety), Mr Emeka Umeagbalasi, advised pro-Biafran groups to participate in the election, and elect credible people that will pilot the affairs of the State, and the country at large.
Umeagbalasi, who gave the advice when the leadership of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, led by Mr. Uchenna Madu, visited him in his office in Onitsha, said referendum would come through dialogue and agreement, and not by force.
Umeagbalasi, noted that the only way to be involved in a democratic society, is to participate in the electoral system, and not to boycott elections.

He said in as much as he believes in the struggle for self-determination as championed by MASSOB, IPOB, and other groups, they must follow due process and peaceful manner, to achieve their aim.
