Emerging report is revealing that the
campaign billboards of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have all been
destroyed in Anambra State.
The Tony Nwoye Campaign Organisation,
has raised alarm and condemned what it described as the increasing spate
of unprovoked hostilities being meted out against them.
The organisation in a statement, said it
is bad enough that Governor Obiano and his team have imposed
unreasonable levies on any candidate who wishes to mount campaign
billboards or paste posters, yet he sends out his hoodlums to single out
all billboards and posters belonging to Tony Nwoye, for onward
destruction.
The statement had the receipt of N3
million levy paid to the Anambra Signage and Advertisement Agency,
ANSAA, by Nwoye, for all his campaign adverts attached to it.
The organisation however, lamented that
one of the APC campaign billboards at Awka road, Onitsha, was vandalized
by the paid agents of APGA and Governor Obiano.
Advising the State Government to call
its agents to order, the APC campaign organisation, said as a lover of
peace, its candidate has set the legal machinery in place to address the
growing injustice against him.
It added that, Nwoye has admonished his supporters to desist from contemplating or carrying out any form of reprisals.
