A top Presidency source, has revealed that the embattled President, Muhammadu Buhari, has allegedly agreed to call his most vocal critic, the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, from London, in order to convince Nigerians that he is hale and hearty.
In an exclusive chat with Post-Nigeria, on Tuesday morning, the source said: “I can tell you that Buhari will soon call Fayose, to convince the doubting thomases that he is hale and hearty, and only that he is taking a medical rest.’
He added, that recently a human rights group, known as the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice, CHRSJ, has been mounting pressure on the Presidency, for Buhari to grant Fayose’s request to speak with Buhari.
Recall, that Fayose had over the weekend said rather than speak with “outsiders”, the President should speak with him, to prove that he is indeed hale and hearty.

In the statement forwarded to Post-Nigeria on Tuesday, the human right group noted that the call became imperative, because “Nigerians have been skeptical about various set of orchestrated media hype on the calling of President Buhari, to some ruling APC chieftains and world leaders.”
The group, maintained that it was high time “Buhari spoke with the opposition leaders in the country, to affirm his message of hale and hearty, since the beginning of his medical vacation in London.”
The statement which was signed by its Executive Chairman, Comrade Adeniyi Suleiman, noted that the news surrounding Buhari’s medical vacation had been suspicious to Nigerians, because the Presidency failed to reveal the true picture of Buhari’s state of health.
Sulaiman further disclosed that the group and its affiliates would soon set up the 5-man Committee to visit President Buhari, in London, in order to ascertain the true state of his health, and properly brief Nigerians after the visit.
He said the continued stay of Buhari in London over a medical vacation, had been a call for concern by well-meaning Nigerians.

The statement added that: “President Muhammadu Buhari should return to the country and face governance. To stay away from his duty post for certain period, is unconstitutional and illegal.”
